That weird fella is me. You might recognize some of my clothing. That's a replica of the Dude's sweater from The Big Lebowski. Kind of a strange choice I know, but it's the closest thing I had to a cream cardigan like Harrison wears in My Fair Lady. I was going to film myself against real props and furniture but it looked boring, so I set up a green screen and a few lights in my lounge. I also tried Deepfaking Harrison's face onto my head but I've decided to spare you guys the horror. Thanks for watching.

Pogo music reminds me of my childhood. The old movies my dad had me watch, which i absolutely loved. There's nothing like them anymore, from the story, to the aesthetics. Sadly at the same time, pogo music makes me reflect on the mortality of us all. And how deceptively short life is.
I discover Pogo because you tube "told me" that one of the youtubers that i follow likes a video call "sponge Bob remix" after that, Pogos music has been with me since 2014.

so, any music people out there able to explain why this song makes me feel so... melancholic? It's got an upbeat sound and a quick pace, it doesn't sound particularly sad on the surface but I just can't shake this overbearing sense of what I can only describe as melancholic heartache throughout it and I can't explain why.
I think it makes some of us yearn for a simpler time when we knew up from down, right from wrong.

What I love about Pogo is how he manages to capture the whole feeling of a film or tv show in just a couple of minutes with his music.
Completely agree, even with the parts where the words are a bit incoherent, the song overall captures the essence of the movies he draws from. It's almost like bottling memories and wrapping them in nostalgia lol

I just watched the making of this particular track and am positively astounded at the level of compassion that you put into your work. You are an absolute treasure to the musical world. Thank you so much for all that you've created and shared with us! My personal favorite hook on in this song is the sample used @ 0:44 & 1:58 - there is something about these little sound bytes that i just LOVE so much!!! Watching you mouth the sound is also fantastic because its difficult to discern where these actually were taken from in the film.

I saw this film on cable TV as a kid. I had to watch in secret because my evil step-dad hated anything with singing and dancing. It was to unmanly. The film stuck with me all of my life, yet you breath new life into it. I am transported back to my youth and my secret pleasure. Thank you, Nick.

I think this is one of my favorite songs you have made. What I also love is that the people dancing and bouncing to the music in the films perfectly sync with the tune of your music as the clips play. It's wonderful and is done so well I enjoy watching the videos over and over again just to see the clips fit your music sooo well!

A pogo video is a treasure in it's own right, but a pogo video where pogo jumps around and sings along is a source of pure joyous. I crack a smile every time.
I follow your channel from the very beginning and your music accompanies me every day. Your music and how you create it is a masterpiece. Some of your songs are composed as if you knew exactly what was in my head. One day I would like to hear some mix from The Legend of Zelda series, e.g. Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask in your performance :)
I've listened to this song many times, never paid much attention to the video until I finally saw and recognized the phonetics in a couple clips...got curious, looked up the movie "My Fair Lady" went on a deep dive and realized this would've been THE movie of my life had I learned about it as a child. I've made a career of teaching English and essentially taught myself to speak clearly and properly for my students and learned IPA and several other systems across a couple languages to better acquaint myself with the science of speech. I did so because I became obsessed with Constructed Languages as a child and all throughout high school planned on becoming a linguist.
However, I have never seen or known a scrap of this movie and how it relates to linguistics, phonology, and speech with which I've been so fascinated all my life. Funny how some things just seem to dodge your attention despite being exactly what you'd love.
I like how this is edited where we see scenes of Pogo blended in with the film and of course seeing him dance and sing lol :)
I could only imagine that most who dislike Pogo's work really need a hug in their life.
I loved it too, until I found out (and watched the video where he does it) what he has said about the Orlando shooting and so on. That was so intense that I found myself unsubscribing. And I'm not one of these social justice warriors. It just hit hard.
The music is still great though. I hope he has changed his views, not for the outside, but for himself.
