A Dark Future Ch. 03 - Lucia

Registration is surprisingly quick and easy. The attendant Rosie appears to be expecting them to claim Alexia, and scans Alexia's card, and then Robert's, and has Robert sign on a digital pad that he is using his green card claim on Alexia. Rosie makes sure to mention that Alexia should not be out on her own, and if she leaves the house with either of them, they must have their card with them in order to prove ownership.

Once that is done, Rosie says "Are you claiming her sister Lucia too?"

"Yes." Jane says. "That's the plan. Do we just go pick her up and bring her here?"

"That's right." Rosie goes on to explain "I'll print out a claim slip for you, just fill in her information, and bring her back to the desk where you got tested, and give them the claim slip. They should be able to get her tested fairly quickly, and then once the results confirm she's a red card, we will need to scan both of your cards, since the second claim requires both of you to have a green card. I'm assuming you are going to pick her up now?"

"Yes." Robert says. "I think Alexia is anxious to get this over with."

"Ok, good. I'll just put that in the system, so they don't send anyone to go pick her up before you get there. Normally after an auction or claim we would reprint the cards for the owners with their concubines ID numbers on them, but since you are coming right back, I will wait to do it until you have both claims in the system. In the meantime if you are stopped by anyone official, just have them scan your ID, and it will show the claim." Rosie says. "Any questions?"

"I don't think so." Jane says. "We'll be coming right back anyway, so if we come up with any, we can always ask next time."

As Robert and Jane lead the way to the car, Alexia follows behind, looking a bit stunned to realize she was someone's property now.

"Robert, do you mind driving so we girls can talk?" Jane asks.

"Of course." Robert responds.

As they reach the car, Jane opens the back door and motions for Alexia to get in the back seat as well.

Alexia buckles up and asks. "Is there any way I can get my phone back? I'd like to call Lucia to tell her we are coming."

"Once we are back at home we can go over rules for the house, and decide on phone privileges. For now though, please unlock the phone, and reset the pin to 0000. Once that is done we will call Lucia to make sure she is ready for us. Oh, and give Robert the address so he can start driving that way. How far away is your place?" Jane asks.

"Our apartment is about 20 minutes away." Alexia proceeds to give Robert the address, which appears to be a slightly run down apartment complex on the other side of town. "I've got the pin reset, can I call Lucia now?"

"Go ahead and dial, and put the phone on speaker." Jane continued "You can give her the basic information, and then I will give her instructions. Is she aware this might happening today?"

"Not today. We thought we had until we decided to go test, or the two weeks were up, as long as we mostly stayed at home or work." Alexia says hesitantly. "I'm not sure how she is going to react."

"It's fully understandable that she may need some time to process. Go ahead and dial, and that will give her a few minutes at least to process it all before we get there." Jane instructed.

Robert listens to all of this, wondering just what he has gotten himself into. They had been part of the BDSM scene for several years, and even experimented with Total Power Exchange before, but this was something very different. Jane had always been the more passive one in managing their subs.

"Alexia?" Jane and Robert heard Lucia's voice for the first time as she answered. "Are you ok? You haven't been answering my texts. I'm seeing things on the news about people being rounded up from government buildings."

"I'm ok. They got us as we came in this morning. My boss said we all had to go to be tested immediately, and they had a few police put us into a van." Alexia explains. "I don't have a ton of time, so please just listen, and I'll explain the whole story to you as soon as I can. I'm coming home now with my new owners."

"Owners? What do...?" Lucia interrupts, sounding a bit panicked.

"Lucia, remember, just listen, don't talk right now." Alexia talks over her. After waiting a moment to make sure Lucia was being quiet, she continues. "A couple at the testing center both got what are called green cards. It meant they can claim two female detainees. When I got detained, I asked them to claim you. They offered to claim us both, so we can stay together."

Jane motions at Alexia to hand over the phone, and Alexia quickly finishes with "I'm going to hand the phone over to Jane now. She is one of my owners. She is going to give you some instructions. Please do exactly as she says. This is very important. I'll be home soon."

"Hello Lucia. I understand this is probably quite a shock, none of us expected this to move this quickly when we woke up this morning. We are about 10 minutes away, and can talk more later. We will have plenty of time to get to know each other. For now please pack any good clothing you have, keepsakes, anything important to you. If you have extra time before we get there, begin to pack Alexia's things. Please be properly dressed in jeans and a shirt when we arrive as well. We will be going to the testing center once we pick you up." Jane instructed. "Do you understand?"

"umm... Yes..." Lucia stammers.

"Yes Ma'am, or Mistress in the future, but we will go over that more later." Jane corrects. "Do not leave the apartment until we arrive. See you shortly."

Jane hands the phone back to Alexia.

"Lucia, we'll be there very soon. Just start packing, and I'll explain everything soon. I know this is all very sudden, but I did what I had to do to protect us." Alexia says, and hangs up when Alexia says she is going to pack.

"She seemed a bit shell shocked." Robert comments.

"I promise she is a sweet girl sir, she won't give either of you any trouble. She was just surprised." Alexia promises.

"We've got a few minutes before we get there, why don't you tell us more about yourself, your work history, and what skills and training you have?" Jane requests, holding out her hand for Alexia's phone.

Alexia hands over the phone, and begins. "I was born here. My mom was from Mexico, and moved here when she was young. My dad is from here too. His mom is also from Mexico, and his dad was white. My parents split up when I was still a baby, and I've only met my dad once. I don't really remember much about him, and my grandparents are all dead."

She takes a breath, and continues. "I was an ok student in school, and I managed to get a county job right out of high school as a receptionist. Most recently I was the administrative assistant for one of the managers at the State Department of Agriculture in town."

"Do you enjoy that kind of work?" Jane asks.

"Not really, Mistress, but it pays the bills, and I've been taking care of Lucia since just after I graduated, when my mom ran off." Alexia says.

"What other skills do you have that aren't related to that job? Do you know how to cook, clean, do other household work?" Jane asks.

"I can cook a little, but Lucia usually cooks for us. She does most of the housework too, but I did learn when I was a kid." Alexia says. "We are both bilingual, if that helps."

"So if we wanted you two to take over the housework at our house, Lucia is the person that needs to be responsible for most of it?" Jane asks.

"Probably, Mistress." Alexia says. "I'll work hard though. I can clean for sure, Lucia should probably do the cooking, though."

"What about past relationships?" Jane asks.

"I had a boyfriend in high school, but he was a jerk. Since then I haven't dated much, I've been too busy taking care of Lucia on my own for the past 4 years to want to mess with that." Alexia says, a bit of anger in her voice when she mentions the boyfriend.

"What happened with the boyfriend, exactly?" Jane questions.

"He tried to push for more than I was willing to give. We dated for about a year, and he just wouldn't stop pushing for more." Alexia says, and then sighs "I finally gave in, and he took my virginity during my senior year of high school. I broke up with him the next day. I always said I was going to do better than my mom, find a good guy to marry and give myself to, but I wasn't strong enough. I didn't really want to date after that."

"You poor thing." Jane reached over to hug Alexia. After a moment she pulls back, and lifts Alexia's chin to look into her eyes. "You do understand that our relationship will involve you having sex with Robert, right?"

"Yes, Mistress, I understand. It's been a long time since that happened, and you two have already made a commitment by claiming not just me, but Lucia as well. I am very grateful, and will do my best for you both." Alexia says, and looks a bit scared for a moment. "You aren't going to hurt me though? Or Lucia? She has never had a boyfriend, and I don't think she has any experience at all."

"No one is going to hurt anyone" Robert responds quickly. "As for experience, that isn't an issue. We previously were involved in the local BDSM community, and what I've found is that with most submissives, the first step is working through all of the trauma caused by their bad experiences, which is usually almost all of the experience they have. I'm perfectly happy to be patient, and Jane can help to teach both of you what you need to know."

"Thank you sir. This is our building, we should park on the far end to be near the stairs" Alexia says, looking a bit relieved, but clearly anxious to get upstairs and see Lucia.

"We will give you two a few minutes when you get in there, but after that we really need you to start packing. We both expected to be back at work by now, and I've got a meeting in a few hours that I really can't miss." Jane says.

"Thank you, Mistress, we will be quick." Alexia confirms.

Alexia leads the way up to her apartment, with Robert and Jane behind her. As she enters Lucia comes at her like a missile, throwing her arms around her sniffling a bit.

"It's all going to be ok Lucia." Alexia says, comforting Lucia. Looking at Robert and Jane, and she nods towards the couch. She continues to talk to Lucia as she steers her down the hallway towards their bedrooms.

Robert looks over at Jane and says. "Well, this certainly isn't what I was expecting when I woke up this morning."

"Me either." Jane responds. "But it's turning out ok so far. Alexia seems like a nice girl, and if Lucia is half as sweet as Alexia says, you are going to be very happy."

"I feel so bad for both of them." Robert says. "Their whole world is being upended, and it's not their fault."

"I know, and we will do everything we can to make the transition smooth for them. No need to rush them into anything when we get home." Jane reassures Robert. "For now we should probably both email our works to let them know we are going to be back online a little later than expected."

As Robert and Jane pull out their phones to notify their bosses, Alexia comes back into the room. She notices they are busy, and waits until Jane looks up at her. "Lucia is packing now. Is this our last time coming here, or will we be able to come back again for the rest of our things?"

"We can come back this weekend." Jane says. "Just get what you need for the next few days, clothes, toiletries, etc, and any food that is going to expire before Saturday, or that you will want and don't think we will have."

"Thank you, Mistress." Alexia looks relieved. "We should be done in a few minutes, I'll go let Lucia know."

A few minutes later Lucia and Alexia come down the hallway, Lucia with a duffle bag, and Alexia with a cheap suitcase.

"Are you good to go?" Jane asks.

"We just need to go through the fridge and pantry, Mistress. We will be quick." Alexia answers.

"Go ahead and do that, I will help carry down the bags when you are done." Robert says.

Alexia and Lucia spend a few more minutes each going through their food supplies, Lucia grabbing ingredients from the pantry while Alexia gets tupperware that must be leftovers from the fridge. Robert walks over to glance in the pantry, and notices it's fairly bare. He walks back over to the couch, and sits next to Jane again.

"They have almost no food in the pantry." He whispers to her, and she nods in acknowledgment. "Do you think you should check to see if they actually have everything they need, like toiletries and women's stuff?"

"I'll ask them about it when an opening comes up." Jane whispers back.

A few moments later Alexia looks over to Lucia, who nods, and then tells Jane. "We are ready now, Mistress. Also, here is Lucia's phone, I had her reset the pin."

"Well done Alexia, I appreciate you anticipating that. This is just temporary, once we get settled we will discuss phones moving forward, but I don't see any reason you won't get them back." Jane tells the girls as she takes the phone and puts it into her purse with Alexia's. Lucia looks relieved, and Alexia looks pleased as well.

Robert carries the suit case and duffle down, while the girls handed the groceries. As they get settled in, Jane decides to find out a bit more about Lucia.

"So, Lucia, can you tell me a bit about yourself?" Jane says.

"What kind of things do you want to know?" Lucia asks nervously.

"Why don't we start with your parents?" Jane asks patiently.

"My mom died when I was 12." Lucia says. "I don't think she knew who my dad was."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Jane says. "So did you move in with Alexia and her mother then?"

"Yes." Lucia says. "Until she ran off with her new boyfriend a few years later."

"Maybe one day, when you are comfortable with us, you can tell us about that." Jane says. "It certainly sounds like a stressful time for you both."

"New guy was a druggy, and having two kids didn't really work with that lifestyle." Alexia says. "One day she didn't come home, and honestly, life was actually easier without having to worry about what either of them were going to do."

"I'm sorry to hear that." Jane says. "Do either of you do drugs? Or smoke?"

"We couldn't afford it even if we wanted to, Mistress." Alexia laughs.

"Speaking of which, Robert noticed that your pantry was pretty bare." Jane says. "Do either of you need anything? Food? Toiletries?"

"We could use a few things, Mistress." Alexia says. "Would you mind if we talked about that privately?"

"Of course." Jane says.

They pulled into the testing center a few minutes later, and got Lucia registered quickly using the paper Rosie had given them. A few minutes later they were called back, Lucia was swabbed, and they all went to the waiting area.

"Do you mind if I go talk to Rosie for a minute?" Alexia asks.

"That's fine." Jane says.

Alexia steps up the the counter, and quietly says. "You were right. They seem nice."

"I'm so glad." Rosie says. "I'd hate the thought of you ending up with someone awful."

"Thank you so much." Alexia says. "I should probably get back to them."

"Good luck." Rosie says as Alexia turns to go back to Robert and Jane.

A few minutes later Rosie looks up and catches Jane's eye. Jane motions at Lucia, and Rosie nods. "Lucia, It's time to find out your results. Do you want us to go with you, or Alexia?" Jane asks.

"It's going to be red." Lucia says. "You both may as well come up with me."

They head to the counter, and Rosie says. "I'm sorry, Lucia." She slides over the red card paperwork, and says. "I didn't print out her card yet. If you are ready, I can scan you both now, and we can get the claim done."

"Lucia, are you ok with that?" Robert asks gently. "If you would rather we didn't claim you, now is the time to speak up."

"I want to stay with Alexia." Lucia says.

Alexia leans forward to whisper in Lucia's ear as Robert and Jane get their cards out.

"Thank you, Master and Mistress." Lucia says, apparently as Alexia's prompting.

"You are very welcome." Robert says. "I'm glad we could keep you two together. That should make this a lot easier for both of you."

Rosie prints new cards for Robert and Jane, and then prints Lucia's, handing them all over. "Did you end up thinking of any questions?"

"I've got a million." Robert says. "But I think we are good for now."

"Goodbye, Rosie. Thanks again." Alexia says, waving to her as they head to the exit door.

"I know it didn't take that long, but I swear it feels like we were in that office for days." Robert says.

"I know what you mean, Master." Alexia replies. "My first time in there this morning felt like it took half of my life. I was dreading the results. Thank you both so much for claiming us, I can't imagine not being able to see Lucia again, and not even knowing what happened to her or for her not to know what happened to me."

"We were happy to do it. I'm just sorry that there isn't something more we can do for you." Robert says. "Let's get moving though, we don't want Jane to be late, and we still need to grab lunch on the way home."

As everyone piles in the car, Robert hopes things calm down a bit moving forward. He's looking forward to a few quiet days with no more surprises.
