EDIT: It's more of what it represents as to why I'm turned off by this. Activision would rather milk a classic game than make a good new game. They gave you supply drop weapons in IW before the LEADERBOARDS.. Their priorities are clear and they aren't consumer friendly one's at that.

EXACTLY! The community wanted a boots on the ground game, and they got one. Now they hate supply drops, the collaterals are bugged, the m4 is too op, all of this bitching and moaning. If you expect them to have everything go the way you want it to then you're naive. Everything won't be fixed at one point, it takes time. Maybe Treyarch or Sledgehammer will make a game next year that has both boots on the ground and no supply drops. All we have to do is wait and see.

From what I've been seeing on twitter driftor actually told the developers at Raven to please keep it only cosmetic items. Personally supply drops just keep the game fresh and with how easily people get bored of stuff activision in a sense does have to cater to the audience that needs something new pretty frequently apart from it being a good business decision to bring in revenue. People can hate but as long as they make money they will stay. Also this system in MWR is the most fair way to earn new gear in call of duty. You literally don't have to pay for anything and the key earn rate is good, bonus parts aka salvage in drops is super high so getting stuff is not a massive grind. All in all I enjoy drops and hope it stays only cosmetic but only time will tell if that happens.

I think that adding the supply drops were a good thing, after getting Exclusion Zone looking at weapons just got boring which makes the gameplay seem worse, looking at something new is not going to ruin the game. So what if they add new weapons? COD4 has been done, if you want to play the exact copy go and play the original, as long as they don't add laser guns it'll be fine.
