Click hereOnly a couple more then. Who's cabin and pond did we have lunch at today, you seemed to know it very well? She told me that technically it was Her's and Jacks. They owned the ground that it was on, but they rented it to Ollie and Olive. We used to go out there on weekends with our folks and fish and swim and camp out.
Then I loaded up for the biggest questions of the evening. If I were to ask you to take me to the bedroom tonight, would you? She softly said yes. I asked her if I told her that I wanted to wait and not rush into things, would she be offended? She said, no. I asked her what she wanted.
She finished her glass of wine, set it on the table and took my hands in hers. There is a part of me that really, really wants to take you to my bed and make love to you all night. There is another part of me that loves romance, and the art of seduction that we have been doing for hours and, unfortunately, there is a part of me that knows that I must be at the café at 4 in the morning to get it ready to open.
I told her that, somehow, I knew that the last one was coming and agreed that the art of seduction was a lost art and it just made everything so much better. I asked if it was okay if I spent the night on the couch and she said no. I looked at her kind of surprised, but she said that she had a spare room I could sleep in and if any nosey neighbors were watching, they would be able to see the lights on in both rooms and maybe think the best of us.
She showed me to the smallish bedroom at the back of the house and offered to let me use the bathroom first while she cleaned up. I was pleased with myself for not forcing the sex issue, I really wanted to get to know her and where her mind was at about us first. I also wanted it to be slow and romantic rather than rushed and lust fueled. I knew before making the drive up this morning that I wanted this girl in my life, and not just for a fling. Old751 did right by bringing me to her and I wasn't going to let her down. I finished in the bathroom and went to the kitchen to tell Julie good night.
I knew that she was putting on a show for the neighbors even if it was midnight. Small towns always watch. I wrapped my arms around her as she stood at the sink and nuzzled the back of her neck. She smelled absolutely delectable and tasted even better. I told her that I would leave before she went to the café and would make sure that the neighbors would know that I spent the night in the spare room.
She turned in my arms and we shared our first deep, long, and very intimate kiss. I felt lots of things stirring that tested my resolve about the back bedroom, but then she broke the kiss and thanked me for protecting her delicate honor. That made me laugh aloud. I said good night to her and went to my bedroom. I heard her do more puttering in the kitchen while I lay on the incredibly soft comfortable bed, bedside light on good and bright. I did some searching on my phone. I heard her finish up in the bathroom and go to her room and the door shut.
I found what I was searching for on my phone and bookmarked the page. I turned out the light and could tell that there was a faint light under the door from the light still on in her room. I was amazingly relaxed and drifted off to sleep instantly. I dreamed of a future that felt like it could only be a dream.
One good thing about being a truck driver was that 3 hours sleep can feel like 6 when it must. I was up, dressed, and finished in the bathroom, and pouring myself a coffee into the travel mug the was left out for me before she came out of her room, I noticed that she hadn't turned her light on. She wore an old, tattered robe that had probably seen a few years too many mornings. Her hair was tousled but not crazy. She shuffled over to me declaring that it was way too damn early in the morning to be up. I had to agree but then I didn't have a café to open and every farmer for 10 miles had instructions from their wives to go there and get the scoop on Julie's new boyfriend.
She moaned at me, thanks for reminding me of that. I gave her a big soft hug, kissing her forehead. I am glad we got this, how I look in the morning thing out of the way, and thanks for the coffee. She wrapped her arms around me and buried her face in my chest. Thank you for yesterday and last night, it was the sweetest and most romantic day I think I have ever had. I told her that I would love to have more of them, soon.
I let her go with that and said goodbye. She slipped back into her room as I slipped out her front door. I started my truck and waited a minute; her bedroom light came on and a hand came through the curtain and waved. I drove away into what I was hoping was going to be a great new life. Thoughts swam through my head on the drive home, now I just needed to be brave enough to carry out my plan.
Back home, I had a few hours before I had to get myself acquainted with my new truck. Damn, I was going to miss Old751. I grabbed my laptop and finished the research I had started at Julies'. I wished I had a few days, and the few hours went way too fast, and I wanted to get to work early and talk to Steve. As I drove on the lot, I noticed Old751 had been moved to the back corner to await her fate. I really hoped that it was going to be way different than she imagined.
Steve was in his office and as usual buried in paperwork. I really don't know how anything ever got done but long as I had a truck, loads to deliver, and most importantly a paycheck every week, which was his problem, not mine. I knocked and stepped in. He pointed to the top of the filing cabinet and the set of keys on top of it, there's your new baby, take care of her. I said that I would do that for sure, then almost as an aside asked when my old truck might be heading to the auction.
Steve said the next auction wasn't for 6 months, so she was going to be hanging around and be an emergency replacement for a while.
I said thanks, grabbed the paperwork and told him that I was going to go introduce myself to that black beast. He smiled at me and said you will like her. When I walked up to the black Peterbilt I noticed the company logos and DOT numbers were in place, and across her hood in bright white paint was her ID number - 751- 2. I climbed in and introduced myself, stuck the key in the ignition and started that big MX diesel. She roared to life and sat purring awaiting her next order. While I let the air build up, I familiarized myself with her instruments and where all the controls were located. I got the seat and mirrors all arranged the way I like them, figured out where I was going to stow everything for right now and put her in gear. No arguing or sputtering or belching, she rolled out just as nice as you would expect a brand-new truck would. I found my trailer at the dock and backed into it, smooth as butter. I hooked the trailer up, did my walk around checking lights and tires and listening for any air leaks.
Everything looked good so I went in to check with Charlie. He handed me my paperwork and asked if I had ever driven a brand spanking new truck before. I said that the only ride I ever had was Old751 since my first day on the job. He offered some sage advice. He said to watch the gauges and listen to the truck, if something didn't sound or feel right, pull over and check it out. New tractors always had a bug that they missed in the factory, and it would show up quickly. I thanked him and headed out. As I drove past the office, Steve was standing outside. I gave him a big thumbs up for the truck number and a big blast on the airhorn. I turned on the highway and pointed the black beast toward the Lost Café and Truck Stop in Smithville. I had a piece of cherry pie, a cup of coffee and a warm kiss waiting for me.
END PART 1
Finally !
After reading several of the other chapters/stories I was glad to find this one .
Being trans myself I liked the way you handled the subject, but I wondered why you put that into the story.
That likely caused a number of readers to forgo reading the rest of the story.
Their loss !
I have noticed that you need to do a slow proofread of your work or find a good proofreader.
Thank you for a fun read that very much mirrors true life situations .
