Click hereI heard a number of screams coming from the ground as all the pieces started to die.
You still won't defeat us as long as the leader lives, so will we! It screamed as it finally died. Shit I thought as I went airborne. I had to wipe all the minds here about what had happened. I then started to retrace all the way back to the ship, making sure it was all destroyed.
I breathed a sigh of relief as I felt nor detected any of it left. I checked all the females as I placed them all back in their campground. As far as I could see, they were clear, of both memories and the aliens.
I then felt a couple of my fighters going down. I was beside them instantly. Two I managed to save, though the last I was too late. I held the youth as tears started to fall from my eyes. Why? Why hadn't I been able to stop this?
"I am so sorry that I wasn't here. You shouldn't have tried to do this yourself. I will do all that I can to make sure that this never happens again. I vanished, appearing in my house.
I collapsed with the youth in my arms, tears still flowing from my eyes like a river. I looked up and saw my daughters, my old crew and the other four reps of the four races.
"I will never allow this to happen again." as I transmuted to energy and flew at accelerated speed. I appeared on the Xetron homeworld, grabbing the leader and destroying all the breeding vats. I then looked at the leader as he sneered at me, we will rebuild better.
I cuffed it, as I thought, not with you, I sent with heat.
You won't destroy me, you are the new fifth race, you don't, it thought.
Wrong! I thought as I broke it in half, shock on its face, as life left it's body.
I was almost uncontrollable. I started to go through much of the facility. I destroyed all there that I met.
I swear I could hear my daughters calling out to me, though I chose to ignore them. I also thought that I felt the other four reps of the races trying to pull me back.
I don't think that they took me slapping them back too well. Finally, there was nothing moving nor alive there. I felt the doors to the place open which felt miles away, I was there instantly destroying those also.
I stopped mid-strike with what appeared to be a child of the Xetrons. This, more than anything, actually stopped me. I reached out feeling no evil from it, nor its parent.
Huh, I thought, perhaps not all of them are like their leader. I immediately felt a hell of a lot calmer. I was back in my house in what felt like seconds.
Everyone there started to back away from me as I arose off the floor. Apparently, I was still glowing from the rage I had felt.
"Dad?" Bell asked with a shake to her voice. "Are you OK? What did you do?"
Trina knelt beside me as she tried to put her hands on me. "You have grown more powerful; I can't get near you. Dad let us in, you are growing weaker, please?
I sighed as I tried to relax, feeling my daughters and Alice managing to touch me. Thing is, what they were all trying was a mere tickle. Not all that much, though it was better than nothing.
I closed my eyes as the trickle was helping, though I needed more. Almost immediately, the four races appeared around me.
We felt a great disturbance on the Xetron home world. What have you done? Xeinther said, a look of concern on his face.
I looked at the four races, anger starting to rise within me. I told all of you that I would not allow them to hurt any of us. I failed, so I went to their world. I destroyed all the vats and almost all that were there. Most especially the leader, as I broke him in half.
All of them looked at me with shock in their eyes. This is not the way that we, Dutenner the fish like being started.
I DO NOT CARE! I blasted my thoughts out to the four of them, knocking them off their balance. The acceptance of the loss of life is NOT how we do things here on our world. I stared at each one of them as my eyes started to glow. If it is? Then I will withdraw from being the fifth race, that is nothing but unacceptable.
I saw Dutenner the fish being, Skatnes the praying mantis behind it and Kanderith, the mostly water being staring at Xeinther.
This we do not wish to happen. You are the strongest ally that we have ever had. The last time a race left the great races we were unable to save them. They broke completely from us. We do not wish your people to suffer as they did.
This started to calm me a bit. I was about to think more thoughts when both my daughters appeared beside me. They both had a shocked look on their faces as their mouths hung open.
How in the hell did that happen? I heard Trina say, I didn't feel you, and we were suddenly here.
Yeah, Dad bell thought. I was as worried about you as Trina was and, poof, we were suddenly here. Bell looked at my face then started to growl as her power spiked.
I smiled as I felt Trina also spike as they climbed higher. What has happened, that you are so pissed off, so bad, Bell thought.
Welcome the daughters of the earth, Xeinther started, then was quiet as both my daughters glared at him.
We weren't talking or thinking to you! They both almost screamed, which shocked me. It also shocked the four before us.
We meant no disrespect. Xeinther tried again, only to be glared at again with more intensity.
I was still quiet as I was deciding just what to tell them. I sighed, then interrupted. I am upset about their views about the enemy. I destroyed almost all that were in the building I was in, including the leader. I broke him in half.
Both Trina and Bell's mouths were hanging open after I revealed this. I looked at all four of the reps, as I glared. One as young as the one they killed should not have to have been in combat. As I said before, if none of you like it, then we will continue on without you.
As we all said and agreed this, we do not want to, with you and your people, the universe might calm. Though, as you know, that is not a certain thing nowadays.
Yeah, I know, but to attempt to stop a lot of this I feel is more than worth it. Now, I am going. I'll let the four of you decide if we are in or out.
With that, my daughters and I vanished from the think space as I called it. I breathed a tired sigh as my eyes opened. I wasn't really giving a shit whether they kicked us out or not.
I had just about had it being told that I could do this or that. I had damn near killed the man that had been my handler, especially what he did to my nephew.
I was still keeping tabs on him as yet he was still in hospital with multiple fractures. I knew that he wasn't going to heal all too soon either. I made sure of that.
I had also tried to purge all the nightmares that the assholes had planted in his mind. I was still looking for those idiots who didn't know that they were almost dead when I found them. They thought that they were so strong no one could hurt them, they were wrong!
As I was sitting there, I actually detected one. I entered his mind as he was laughing at me, at first. That's when I started to pull on all his pain centers at the same time. I knew he was at his end when his screaming reached a fever pitch, then I planted the nightmares.
As I left, I saw that he was in another center that the government had. I grabbed the director of this one as I broke his arms and legs in multiple areas. I then severed his spine enough to paralyze him for a long time.
I had managed to get where the second ass was before his mind started to shut down. Damn, I had been so close when I got the second asshole.
I immediately left and attacked the second male. This one was a little stronger though, really nothing compared to me. This time I saw that there was a general there. I might get more answers, I thought, as the man donned a helmet.
I tried to get what I could from the second mind warrior, as they were calling them. Unfortunately, the ass didn't know much. I stripped his mind as I reached out for the General. I laughed at the helmet.
I got quite a lot from the man, though only one location of a mind warrior. I sighed, there were at least this one and five more. Plus, there were a great many in the government that needed to go.
I mean, there was protecting the country and the world, though not like these asses went about it. There was far too much pain and suffering that they were and had inflicted.
I sighed. I thought that I'd be better at finding them than this. I was reaching out again when I felt a warning from the four races. A warning that I shouldn't kill my own people. I'm not, I snarled back.
I felt shock at my reaction to them. These people had the power to hurt a lot of people and needed to be stopped as they thought they were untouchable.
If you wish to dessert my people, then just do it. I am tired of arguing with you. I then broke the connection, which shocked them even more.
I was hoping that that alone would convince them how serious I was. I was starting to get pissed at how much no one was taking me seriously.
I guess I thought that they thought if they needed help I would just bow. I hoped that they were ready for me to refuse. I was not a puppet to use. I realized that I was being a dick, but I couldn't help it.
I again reached out to the Xetron home world. I had to make sure I got all of them. That's when I found one that was worse than the leader, how had I missed it?
I started to attack it when I felt it start to laugh. You really think that your weak mind can defeat me?
This got me mad again as I hit the shield it had around it's head as hard as I could. I bounced off pretty hard, though, I felt it crack and what I assumed was blood ooze out.
That's when I heard the screams start. I hit it again, though this time it hurt like hell. The resounding crack I heard caused even louder screaming, then silence.
I tried to look but felt like I was snapped back almost immediately. I grunted as I hit my body, then it started to convulse. I heard the yelling though, I couldn't seem to open my eyes.
"Dad!" I heard on my left, "Dad!" I heard on my right. "Come on Dad," I heard Bell almost yell.
"Come out of it Dad, I heard Trina as she was trying to heal me again, this time with more power.
"Ugh!" I said as I tried to sit up a mistake, as I fell straight back with a groan.
I heard both of them chuckle a moment as Bell said, "you always try to do more than you can Dad!"
"Never hurts you never know," I groaned out as they both helped me to sit up.
I tried to move my arm the same that I had hit the Xetron with. Damn, if it didn't, almost feel like it was broken.
Both my daughters noticed and touched it as I felt the healing start. I was shocked when the both of them felt like they had much more power than they had.
I was also shocked when their healing was actually starting to help. I could feel that they had grown, though not that much.
I sighed as the pain faded, and my arm started to feel better. I think that they both felt this as the both of them started to smile.
A moment later, I felt another as the healing increased half as much more. Alice, I thought? She has also grown in her abilities.
Shit I thought, it was taking three strong people to actually heal me. I barely looked up to see both my daughters and, as I thought, Alice with a hand on me.
"So Dad," Trina said. "Are you through with the enemies?"
I just shook my head, "I need to go back and make sure that I have ended all the evil ones. I'm afraid that I missed a few of them."
Both of my daughters just shook their heads, "we know that ou feel a responsibility to protect the earth. If you keep on like this, you are going to die. We just got you back, we're not wanting to bury you yet," Bell said.
"Yeah dad, we both went far too long without a father. Neither of us want to go back to that, besides, you can teach us more," Tina said with a smirk.
I thought that the both of them were serious, though the smirk gave me doubts. "Hmmmm," I said as I was deep in thought. "Why does something feel off?"
Both my daughters looked shocked, as if they were completely serious. I held up a hand to quiet them. "You seem to forget just who you are talking to. The way I am is what has kept me alive as long as I have. So what is really going on?"
Trina sighed as she looked at her sister. "We were contacted by the four race reps. They are afraid that you would do and react like you have."
I nodded my head, thinking before I spoke. "I and the people of the earth will not be used as a plaything for alien races. We will not be pawns for their wars and power struggles. As of yet, I haven't felt that the four races have been completely honest with us. When I was briefly on their worlds, I felt things that didn't equal what they said to me."
All three of the women before me looked at me puzzled, "what things were they," Alice asked.
"Well," I started, "their planets weren't as peace-loving as they claim. Yet they want to limit us? No, I am not trusting them as much now as I was before. They claim I am the most powerful, though somehow, I am doubting that."
All three of the women were slightly shocked at my statement. "So what do you suppose to do?" Alice said.
"I am going to keep increasing all of us, we need to have some type of defense if we are to survive. I feel we four are the only ones that they can no longer control. I am also afraid that they may have already started to try and control the others," I said.
"I just wish that we could help to increase the others so it would go faster," Alice said.
I nodded as I reached to all three of them, looking to see if they had the start of the ability. I was shocked a few minutes later when I saw the ability within all of them. Huh, I thought, they just didn't know how to access it.
I reached out again as I touched where the ability was, seeing all three of them gasp. "So, I have started your ability to up the others, hopefully the more you use it ther easier it will be for you."
I just prayed that this was the right thing to do, as I was about the only one that was proficient at it. I took all three of them to all the rest of our crew. I did the first, then watched as they started. After an hour, we were past the weakest, moving on to the next.
The only problem I saw was that they weren't used to it and tired easily. When we finished, we had three more that were beyond the reach of almost all the races. I sighed that's eight, though not near enough, though a good start.
I decided that. I had to, again, increase the shield around the earth if we were going to have a chance. I also tried to change a part of it, so no powerful mind could just slip in doing what they wanted.
Back within the gray area where I had cut contact with the other four races, they were all facing each other.
I am afraid that he may suspect what the complete plan is. We had no idea when we brought him to our world that he would grow as powerful as he has. We are also afraid that he may have seen thoughts of all of us when he had contact, came thoughts.
Shouldn't we wait to see if he is the one? Asked the thoughts of Dutenner the fish being.
We have been betrayed and disappointed before. Though we have to admit this is the first time a race has refused entry into the races. We think this one is different, the thought of Skatnes the praying manthis said.
Kanderith, the mostly water being, made an almost growling noise. As Skatnes has said, we have been betrayed before, more than we wish to remember. Yes, this race has refused, they are more powerful, and we should prepare for a war with them. My people feel that they can not be trusted, we should vote. They only have five, low enough to destroy them.
Xeinther was quiet for a moment, then he nodded, a vote then. If they start to act more aggressive toward us, we will destroy them before they can us. If he had just worked with us to help destroy the ultimate enemy, then all would be good. As we have seen, they only have five strong enough. I vote yes.
We are yes, thought Skatnes.
Total destruction, we are yes, thought Kanderith.
The three turned to look at Dutenner. Though it matters not how I vote, I disagree with all of you, so I am no. Remember that they only need ten before all of us together would be needed. As we will not participate, you may fail. If this is so, there will be an ally for them.
Xeinther had been quiet the whole time, wondering what was going on with Dutenner. He was usually the first to vote for, was the future sight working again for it?
With a small shake of his head, Xeinther tried to feel what it was that Dutenner was feeling. When he touched him though, Xeinther was shocked to find that he could not touch Dutenner's thoughts. Xeinther knew that to push any harder would alert Dutenner to the scan.
This was the first time Xeinther hadn't been able to scan one of the other three. He nodded it had to be the future sight; he hoped that it didn't get the four of them punished.
He watched Dutenner for a few more minutes as he saw several signs that Dutenner was having a future sight.
A few moments later, he was almost overwhelmed by the thoughts of the Supreme.
Well!? Came the extremely powerful thoughts.
The fifth race candidate is nearly ready to remove themselves, Replied Xeinther.
You are failing me, you pullion worm! You must keep the candidate in 'til they join. What have you done?
Almost immediately, he screamed, grabbing his head, as he fell to his knees.
Yes, let me see all of it. Um, yes. You were doing good 'til you acted as if the people were nothing. This is a very young, very powerful race. They are not like those that came before. Even with the eight they have now, they are as powerful as the four of you. I suggest that you amend what you did or there will be an opening for another race! The Supreme's thoughts shouted angrily.
The other three had wisely not thought nor said a thing. They each had been punished rather harshly by the Supreme. The Supreme looked at Dutenner then nodded before it vanished.
It was quite a few minutes before Xeinther was capable of pulling his body erect. He had to take a few more moments before he was able to speak. It appears, he started, that we have to do all that we can to placate the human. The supreme wishes it ensnares as we all are. When next we meet with him, we must agree with it and have it join.
Dutenner hid a smile in its body as he saw Xeinther struggle. It had felt the Supreme's punishment, though not as harsh as the others. It also had a secret that the others knew nothing of.
Dutenner shook again as the future sight hit it harder this time. A smile again graced its body as he saw the battles and a certain death that were completely unexpected. It was still waiting to see its death, though it hadn't as of yet.
It broke the connection as soon as it could. It was afraid that the leader of the four, almost five races was catching on to what was happening. Dutenner had felt the Supreme's grasp on it starting to slip not long ago. That's when its future sight had returned.
I had laid down to try and recharge. The last change I had made to the shield had really drained me. I was afraid that I was going to be too drained to fight whatever was coming next. I shook my head; I felt it was going to be our supposed allies.
