Click hereThis is a work of fiction. This story involves an innocent college freshman losing her virginity when she falls hard for a fellow student. No, this isn't the nursery rhyme that you know. If any of that disturbs you, then you should stop reading now. Any similarity to real names or real people is coincidental. Constructive comments are always welcome, but please read the whole story to the end before you comment.
My philosophy is that a story should be like a woman's skirt. It should be long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting. I try to do that in my stories. You may or may not agree with me as to where I should end a story, but know that I end each story where I think it should end.
Nobody in this story was under 18 when they had sex.
Jill had done well in high school. She wasn't one of the speakers at her graduation, but she had done well enough to secure a scholarship at one of her state's universities. Her family was not well off by any means, and college would have been impossible without the scholarship. Even so, the scholarship didn't pay for everything she would need at school. She had taken a summer job in the city where her family lived to make up the difference between what the scholarship offered and what she needed. She also hoped that she might find a job on campus to help her out as well.
So, when summer ended, Jill headed up to the town where her university for the next four years was located. She had visited the campus before, but she was still shocked at how big it was. This wasn't going to be like high school, where she could go from class to class easily. It would require better planning and scheduling to make sure that she could make it between classes and always be on time.
Luckily, Jill had already chosen her major, and they had set classes for her to take each quarter. Even so, she wanted to take some extra classes each quarter, so she still had to schedule her classes to be able to make everything work. When she first arrived at the campus, she headed to the dorm where she had been assigned, found her room, and unpacked her clothes and stuff. She would have a roommate, which was nothing new for Jill.
Growing up, Jill had always shared a room with her two sisters, so having only one roommate would be an improvement for her. It wasn't long before Sue, her new roommate, showed up at the room. Jill helped her unpack, and they talked a lot. Jill found that she had a lot in common with Sue, growing up in a large family and not having much money, but there were also some big differences. Sue had been in the popular crowd at her school, while Jill had been a bookworm nerd. While Sue had dated all the way through high school, Jill had only had one date, and that was a disappointing experience.
Both girls were on the university's meal plan, so after unpacking, they headed to the cafeteria for lunch. They talked some more at lunch, but Jill wanted to walk around campus and pinpoint all of the buildings and rooms where she would have classes, so she left Sue to go on her walk. She went through her classes in order, mapping out the route as she went, so she would be able to memorize the routes between classes for later.
Jill had different classes each day, so she had to make a day-by-day plan for getting around. A few things surprised her. First, the lecture halls were huge. She had heard that freshman classes were used to weed out the dunderheads, and large classes would certainly do that, but it still surprised her to see more than three hundred seats in the lecture halls.
She knew that she was a poor note taker, so Jill had refined a method in high school to make sure she didn't miss anything. She would set up her cell phone on her desk to record while she took the best notes she could. Her cell phone had a stand, which made it easy to record without being obvious. That way, she could review both her notes and her recordings in the evenings and make sure that her notes caught everything important. After that, the recordings could be discarded. To record in the huge lecture halls, she would have to make sure that she always sat near or at the front, and to do that, she would always have to be early.
Jill was busy laying out her plan for getting between classes when she spotted a boy who appeared to be doing the same thing. In fact, she saw him in a few of the rooms she had visited. Curiosity got the best of her, so she smiled and asked him if he was following her. The boy looked startled and replied that he was just mapping out his classes for the next day. It turned out the they had almost identical schedules because they had the same business administration major.
This surprised Jill, but she decided that she needed to know this boy. "Hi," she said. My name is Jill, and it appears that we will be in a lot of classes together."
The boy seemed shy, but he answered, "My name is Jack. I guess that happens when you are following the same schedule." They talked as they walked between class locations. Each of them had a couple of electives the other didn't, but they stayed together helping each other find all of the different class locations. It turned out that even with their busy schedules, both would have free time almost every day. Since Jill wanted to find a job on-campus, it was important to know when she could work. She knew that all the jobs would be filled soon, so it was important to act quickly.
Jill sensed that this might become a real friendship or more, and even though she hadn't had a lot of friends in high school, she wanted to make more friends in college. Jack and Jill talked about all sorts of things while they walked around the campus, and by the end of the afternoon, both thought they knew the other pretty well. They had visited all of their class locations, and they had visited the university book store to pick up all of their required textbooks and supplies. Their department had given them a list, so it was easy.
It turned out that Jack would be living in the dorm right next to Jill's dorm, and they would be using the same cafeteria. In other words, they would be seeing each other a lot, so it was fortunate that they had made friends with each other early. It was dinnertime, so they decided to go to dinner together. Sue joined them as did Jack's roommate Tom. They all seemed to get along well, which Jill was very happy about.
One luxury that Jill did have was a laptop computer and a printer. She had worked hard during the summers between her high school years to earn the money to buy these items. The laptop and printer were a few years old now, but she had taken good care of them, so she thought they should last for many more years. Having a computer and printer in her room meant that she wouldn't have to use the computer labs to complete her assignments, which would be a huge time saver.
After dinner, Jill went back to her room to get on-line to search for jobs. One other perk about living in the dorm was free WIFI, so she always had internet access. Jill got on the university bulletin board and quickly found jobs in which she was interested. One of them was as a librarian assistant, which offered flexible hours. She took down the information and determined to apply the next morning.
The next day was the start of classes, and Jill was shocked to see large numbers of students everywhere. The day before, the campus had been fairly quiet, but now it was bustling with activity. She realized quickly that she would have to add time buffers to all of her walks between classes. Right after breakfast, Jill went to the library to apply for the job, and they were very courteous in taking her application. The people at the front desk told her that somebody might call her within a day or so, if she had the necessary qualifications.
Jill hurried to her first class and arrived twenty minutes before class started. She was happy to see Jack sitting in the middle of the first row, and she sat down next to him. "Hi Jack," she said. "I've always wanted to say that, but it can be taken the wrong way in some places."
"I get that a lot, actually," replied Jack. "Some people even think it's funny," he said as he smiled.
Jill realized that she might have hit one of Jack's hot buttons, so she apologized. "I'm sorry I greeted you like that. I will find a different greeting in the future."
"No worries," Jack replied. "I'm not mad at you. How could I possibly be mad at such a beautiful girl?"
"Whoa," thought Jill. She had always thought of herself as being slightly on the pretty side of average, but nobody had actually called her 'beautiful' before, and she wasn't sure how to react. She finally replied with a simple, "Thank you," as she blushed.
Jack was smiling at her as she put her book, notebook and cell phone in their proper places on her desktop. "You are certainly organized," he commented. "Would you like to study together?"
Jill was startled for the second time in as many minutes. She had thought that Jack would be a good study buddy, but it might be difficult to schedule if she got a part-time job, so she replied, "Maybe." She told him about applying for the job in the library, but she didn't know what her hours would be if she got it.
He understood and admitted that he was also looking for part-time employment. He said, "Let's see what our schedules are and figure it out then."
That sounded good to Jill, so she nodded her assent. The professor came into the lecture hall at that point, so there would be no more talking. Jill set up her phone to record and the lecture started. It was just as boring as she thought it would be, with the professor covering a lot of class rules. The class teaching assistants were introduced, and she and Jack discovered that they would both have the same TA. It was over halfway through the scheduled class time before the professor finally got around to the topic. Looking around, Jill was sure that a lot of her classmates were almost asleep by that time.
Jill started taking notes, and she noticed that Jack was also taking notes. That would be good if they studied together. What one missed, the other might catch. Between their notes and Jill's recordings, they should both have a pretty good grasp of the subject matter.
After the class finished, they had an hour before their next class, so they stopped at the student center to get a drink. With their meal plans, they were allowed to get drinks, or even eat occasionally at the university student center at no charge.
As she and Jack talked, Jill received a text from somebody at the library. She was surprised that the text had come so quickly, but she replied immediately. The librarian wanted to set up an appointment, so Jill would go to meet with the librarian immediately after their next class.
Jack was very happy for her and thought she had a fair chance to get the job. Jill certainly hoped so. Even though work would put an extra burden on her schedule, it would be worth it to have extra spending money during the school year. Money may not bring happiness, but it could certainly make happiness easier to come by.
She offered to help Jack find a job after lunch, if he wished. He did and thanked her in advance for her help. That made Jill smile. She liked helping others, especially when they were like Jack. When they finished their drinks, they made their way to their next class, and once again sat next to each other in the center of the front row. They found it interesting that the back of the hall filled up faster than the front. It made them wonder why the other students were in school. Neither would lose any sleep over it though.
That was their last class before lunch, and Jack made his way back to his dorm while Jill went to her appointment. She told them at the front desk that she had an appointment with the librarian, and one of the girls took her to the librarian's office. Just before they got to the office door, the girl told her that she hoped that she got the job because she thought that Jill would fit right in.
The girl opened the office door and introduced Jill to the librarian. Ms. Walker, the librarian, was very formal, but friendly, as she ran Jill through a series of questions. Jill had jobs while in high school, but this was her first actual interview. Ms. Walker seemed impressed with Jill's knowledge of the library system (Jill had spent a lot of time in libraries while in high school, and she understood how they worked) and her work history. She hired her on the spot. They spent the next twenty minutes working out Jill's work schedule for the next semester, so she would get about sixteen hours a week at the library. That still left her with plenty of free time to study or do whatever.
When Jill got to the cafeteria, she told Sue, Jack and Tom the good news. They were all very happy for her, and Jack was delighted that she would still have time to study with him. She showed him her schedule, and they worked out a few hours of study time each week. Of course, that was dependent on his work hours if he got a job too.
When they were walking to their first afternoon class (their only afternoon class together that day), Jack wrapped his arm around her waist as they walked and said softly, "I am very impressed with you. I'm glad we found each other."
She smiled up at him and replied, "I'm glad as well." Jill's thoughts were already going far beyond just studying with Jack. He was well on his way to becoming a crush. The arm around her waist didn't hurt either, and she walked even closer to him to encourage him to continue holding her next to him. "Who knows?" she thought to herself. "This might go far beyond the crush I feel already."
They got to their next class with plenty of time to spare and prepared their materials while they waited for the professor to arrive. Jack decided it was a good time to find out more about her, so they talked about their pasts. Their circumstances were similar, both of them coming from large families, where space and money were rare, but responsibilities were plentiful. Both were the oldest children in their families, so both were charged with taking care of their siblings. Both had jobs throughout high school to earn money.
The class was similar to their morning classes. Most of the time was spent on class rules and introductions, but the remainder was devoted to an overview of what they could expect from the course. Like her other courses, there was homework given at the end of class, and Jill quickly realized that much of her free time was going to be eaten up by class assignments. Of course, those assignments would be checked by the TA's, with the professors taking no interest in the students at all. This would be the norm throughout their freshman year, but then classes would get smaller and they would have more interaction with the professors starting in their sophomore year.
When the class ended, Jack and Jill went their separate ways. Jack had an electronics class (he would minor in technology) and Jill had an art class (she would minor in marketing and graphic design). They would meet again at dinner in the cafeteria, but before that, Jill had to go back to the library for an orientation and whatever else they wanted her to do.
Jill went through the orientation quickly, since she already had knowledge of how the library worked. She was shown around to all of the various sections, so she would know where everything was. It really wasn't too much different than a public library except that it had much larger reference, periodical and academia sections than most libraries with which she was familiar. She spent the rest of the afternoon putting returned books and magazines away in their proper places.
It had been a long day by the time Jill got back to her room. She thought about lying on her bed for a few minutes before dinner, but decided that if she did, she might fall asleep and miss dinner completely. Therefore, she opened her laptop and started looking for jobs for Jack. She only had a basic idea of what Jack was looking for in a job, but it seemed like there could be several jobs in which he might be interested.
She thought that she might need to take her laptop to the cafeteria to show him what she had found because she wasn't sure what the rules were for boys in the girl's dorm. It turned out that there was no rule, so she just invited him up to her room after dinner.
Meals in the cafeteria weren't anything special, but there were lots of choices, so students couldn't blame anybody but themselves if they didn't get proper nutrition. Jill preferred the salad bar for dinner, but sometimes got a grilled chicken breast to cut up over the salad. It was a pretty healthy choice. Jack preferred to get a cheeseburger and fries for dinner (or lunch for that matter).
They both enjoyed their dinner with Sue and Tom, and the conversation was lively (though Jill yawned a few times). When they were finished, Jill invited Jack up to her room to look at the job bulletin board on her laptop. Sue made a comment, "Boy, you really move fast." I told her I was just helping Jack find a job, and Sue replied, "Sure you are, wink, wink."
Nevertheless, when they got to Jill's room, she had Jack sit down next to her on her bed to look through the jobs. "Wow. There are a lot more jobs available than I thought there would be," he said. He actually found two jobs on her laptop that were very interesting to him, and he copied down the information to follow up the next day.
Sue came in while they were searching through the jobs, and was amazed that Jack and Jill really were looking for jobs for Jack. She obviously thought the two had other plans. Sue was a lot more experienced with relationships than Jill was, and she viewed boys as a lot of fun sexually rather than just for romantic fantasies. Whereas Jill was still a virgin (Sue didn't know that yet), Sue was already very experienced with sex. Her own background was why she quickly assumed that I was taking Jack to the dorm room for sex.
It wasn't long before Jill realized why Sue had assumed that she and Jack were going to the room for sex. Even Jack thought that he might get lucky that night, but it wasn't to be. Jill did let him kiss her after telling her, "Thank you." She hadn't had many that kisses with boys, the Jack's kiss was definitely the best. Her insides were doing flip flops as he kissed her. She melted in his arms, and he probably could have done anything he wanted, but he was too inexperienced himself to recognize that and left her room right after the kiss.
After Jack left her room, Jill's mind was racing. She wasn't sure what had just happened, but she was sure that she wanted more of it. It seemed like her emotions were as messed up as her mind was. Her relationship with Jack had just turned from study buddy to boyfriend with just one kiss. Instead of thinking of Jack as just a boy, she was seeing him as a potential lover.
Even though Jill was still a virgin, she was still knowledgeable about how sex was done and what it was supposed to feel like, and she recognized the tingles in her tummy as the signs that her body was preparing itself for sex. In addition, she could feel how wet her panties had suddenly become ... very, very wet.
Jill tried to study before bed, and actually finished the class assignments for the next day, but she was thinking about Jack. When she put on her nightie and crawled into bed, she was still thinking about Jack. Her fingers found her vulva, and she softly rubbed her labia, pretending that it was Jack rubbing her. Her eyes were closed while she rubbed herself, as she was trying to imagine what it would be like to have sex with Jack.
Eventually, her conscience (and religious upbringing) caught up with her, and she stopped rubbing herself. She had been taught that masturbation was wrong, but she always wondered why God would make something that was wrong feel so good. In any event, she soon fell asleep, and was already fast asleep when Sue got back to the room.
