AI will continue to be a curse and a blessing, depending on why it is used. Also, I think that the program would work on modest suits as well.

Liked it. Did a pretty good job of exploring the various levels of trust (privilege) in a relationship.

You may not think of yourself as a 'craftsman' but admfter reading this story, I'd have to disagree, at least a bit !

This was one of the best variations (distortion ?) of the 'we need to talk' theme, in that he very logically - and thoroughly - made the case for why she shouldn't wear the string/thong bathing suit.

Five stars and a 'very nicely done' for this tale.

I liked the ,”lesson learned” aspect of this tale. Great job.

Interesting thought exercise

This was very well done. My only issue would be that fakes can be made with almost any photo. I liked how logical and reasonable the discussion was. Nice job.

Great story, Thank you. As mentioned by Harddaysknight, it doesn't matter what you wear. A photo is enough.

MC could simply asked his wife not cover herself when her sons came home. If she were an honorable mother she would admit that wearing her string in public would permanently embarrass them

We need a version of this story where some guy's pics get turned into him having a micropenis and wearing a jewel buttplug. And it ends with him running around like a headless chicken trying desperately to show anybody his dick isn't actually a micropenis.

fun story but he never once asked why she wanted to do it? What was her point? Was there someone she wanted to see her?, was it to make him jealous?, was she feeling old?

JasonDuncanJasonDuncan21 days ago

It was an interesting point until the AI stuff clouded the issue. Completely unrelated to the original point of privilege.

I loved the whole discussion on privilege. I had never thought of it in this context. Learn something new...

Nice exposé of a problem haunting a lot of young women currently. Technology has out stripped morals and behaviour, the damage done to victims of online photograph manipulation is horrendous, [not to mention posting without the individuals consent] it is also almost unretrievable once posted.

While it is a story, to indicate a woman would be happy about it is demeaning to any normal female. {and the punishment for doing it far to lenient] ps a fully clothed person can be stripped bare with photo editors and imagination, only morals can stop it.

Enjoyed your entry for the topic and thought but only a 4.6 star reward. Thanks, looking forward to your next yarn.

I rather like the author’s concept of “privilege” as applied to a marriage. That was original —- even if I didn’t fully understand it.

.

On the other hand…the wife was a moron! Unless she has always been some kind of exhibitionist, thinking that she would attend a public BBQ virtually naked was acceptable was just nuts! Did she have no common sense? Or respect for her husband?

Nice.

There's nothing wrong with thinking aloud

on our unwritten rules.

And having opinions is sweet.

4 out of 5 from me.

Sorry. While the procedure expiration is interesting to consider, the husband is just heavy handed and trying to be clever about getting her not to wear the bikini.

It's a lame excuse that one sort of bathing suit over another is easier to deep fake, especially the days. And his repeated trying to shame her about their boys seeing her body is also heavy handed and prudish, like he has to mansplain proper dresstohis wife. It is also rife with the women need to change their behavior because of men rather than men holding men accountable for their behavior

An interesting exploration of this concept. 5*

Great story, perhaps less exciting but very believable.. I would hope many discussions between couples would end with a positive result like this

inka2222inka222218 days ago

Sorry, meh. It was fixin' to be a good philosophical story, but went COMPLETELY off the rails where he offered a valid argument that she asserted HER priviledge to control his clothes but didn't grant him the same. ENd of conversation. She doesn't love OR respect him to the level he loves her.

//

The BS utilitarian argument about deep fakes was both philosophically unsound (the issue isn't the risk of deep fakes, it's the deep disrespect she has for him and deep inequality in their marriage); AND technically unsound (ANY clothing can be deepfake material, merely having less clothing is simply minor technical lack-of-extra-hurdle - and even the story tacitly admitted it where Brenda's body got unrecognizable in the deepfake despite tiny bikini). So, he's still stuck with a shitty unloving disrespectful wife.

Too much of a morality play and the long discussion about the meaning of privilege was high-school. Final point why do so many stories have the husband reminding the wife that they've made vows to each other. It makes them sound like petulant children.

AnonymousAnonymous17 days ago

Sweet story, about a sweet couple. They hold their positions with respect for each other, and the disagreement never turns into a pissing contest. I wish them many happy years together.
